Fees Policy

Every fee we charge, when, and what you keep.

Draft: the operator's company details and contact addresses on these pages are placeholders. They must be replaced before any ads run or real claims are taken.

Version 3.1 · Last updated 27 Oct

1. Every fee, in one place

  • The flight check, adding flights, basic status, the rights checker, entry checker, basic bag guide, claim eligibility and basic disruption help: free.
  • A claim we handle: 25% of the compensation, VAT included, only if it is paid: the claim letter, the follow-ups, the national enforcement body or a dispute resolution scheme. No win, no fee. No end date.
  • Legal action fee: if the airline still refuses and the case has to go to court (or the European Small Claims Procedure) through our partner lawyer, 15% of the compensation, VAT included, is added: 40% in all. Only if the airline pays, and only for a case that went to court. Nothing in advance.
  • FlyHandled Pro (the tracker's subscription): €6.99 (£5.99, US$7.99, CHF 6.90) per month, or €49 (£42.99, US$56.99, CHF 45.90) per year. In Romania: RON 34.99 per month or RON 249 per year.
  • With the yearly plan, paid: 0% claim fee for a flight you added to the app before its departure while the yearly plan was active at departure (a plan cancelled for the end of its period counts until then). The legal action fee above still applies. The monthly plan and the free trial do not change the claim fee.
  • The plan is not insurance: it does not reimburse tickets, costs or losses, and it does not promise that any claim will be paid.

Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and include VAT where applicable. There are no administration fees, nothing to pay up front, and no fee if the airline doesn't pay.

There are no other fees: no administration fee, nothing for the lawyer beyond the legal action fee above, and nothing if the airline pays nothing.

[For the lawyer: the claim fee of 25% with no end date and the legal action fee of 15% are the owner's decision of 2026-10-27; the legal action fee is a draft value until your advice. Please confirm the wording, how VAT is shown and invoiced, who bears court costs if a claim we take to court is lost, and how costs recovered from the airline are shared.]

2. How the fee works

The fee is a percentage of the compensation the airline pays for the claim we handle. If it pays nothing, nothing is due.

[To be decided with the lawyer: whether the airline pays you directly and we invoice the fee, or pays us for you and we transfer the rest to your bank account within a stated number of days.]

Worked examples, for a claim where the airline pays €400:

  • Settled without court: fee €100, you keep €300.
  • Paid after court, through our partner lawyer: fee €160 (€100 plus the legal action fee of €60), you keep €240.
  • With the yearly FlyHandled Pro, for a flight added before departure: claim fee €0, you keep €400; after court, the legal action fee only.

3. Shown before you commit

The exact fees that apply to a claim, the claim fee and the legal action fee, are shown before you sign it, with a worked example, and you must accept them explicitly. They are recorded with your consent and this document's version, and locked for that claim: later price changes, or buying a plan afterwards, do not change them. Whether the yearly plan's 0% applies is decided from our own records at signing: when the flight was added and whether the plan was paid and active at departure.

5. Changes

We will announce fee or price changes in advance. They never apply to claims already signed or to periods already paid for.

Company details in [brackets] are placeholders to be completed before launch.
