1. What this authorisation covers
When you ask FlyHandled Protect to handle a claim, you give FlyHandled Ltd. the separate permissions below. You give each one yourself, on the claim's Authorise screen, and we record which you gave, when, and the version of this document.
FlyHandled provides passenger-rights information and claim assistance. It is not a law firm and does not guarantee compensation.
2. Representation
You authorise us to represent you, and every passenger you list on the claim, in dealing with the airline about this claim only. You confirm you are entitled to act for the other passengers (for example, as a parent or with their permission).
3. Sending in your name
- We may send the claim, and follow-ups about it, to the airline in your name.
- We only send what you reviewed. Every send is recorded in the claim's audit log with the date, the recipient and a fingerprint of the exact text.
- You can see a copy of everything sent in your name at any time, and you can ask us to stop.
4. Assignment (only if used)
Some courts and airlines require the claim to be transferred (assigned) to the party pursuing it. This permission is optional. If you give it, we or our legal partner may take an assignment of the claim if legal action becomes necessary, and you receive what you would have received under the Fees Policy. If you don't give it, we'll ask you again before any legal action, and you can say no.
5. Your data
We use the passengers' personal data and documents only to handle this claim, as described in the Privacy Policy. We share them with the airline, and with legal partners or authorities only when the claim requires it.
6. The success fee
If the claim succeeds, FlyHandled receives the percentage of recovered compensation shown when you authorised it: 25%, unless your trip was included in FlyHandled+. If it doesn't succeed, there is no success fee. The fee is charged only where the law allows it.
7. Payouts and identity checks
We only ask for proof of identity if a payout requires it, for example, to meet anti-money-laundering rules or when an airline pays us on your behalf. We'll tell you why before asking.
8. Withdrawing
You can withdraw this authorisation at any time before the airline pays, by writing to support@flyhandled.example. If the airline has already agreed to pay because of our work, the Claims Terms explain what happens to the fee.
Company details in [brackets] are placeholders to be completed before launch.
